Texas Instruments releases 2010 Corporate Citizenship Report
Posted on the company's website, TI's fifth annual citizenship report meets requirements for the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) self-assessed Application Level A. GRI is one of the world's most widely used frameworks for sustainability reporting.

The complete report addresses six key areas of TI's operations in detail:
- Product stewardship
- Environmental responsibility
- Employee well-being
- Community commitment
- Responsible advocacy
- Corporate governance
Highlights in the report include:
- Opening of
Kilby Labs India to drive innovations in energy efficiency, bio-electronics and life sciences; - 24 percent reduction in the amount of energy required to design, market and manufacture a semiconductor;
- 20 percent reduction in the amount of water required to design, market and manufacture a semiconductor;
- 95 percent of the company's total waste recycled;
$28.2 million in cash and in-kind donations for education, cultural and community initiatives; and- Naming to Working Mother Magazine's Hall of Fame.
