Stock split history

TI stock (TXN) was first publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange on October 1, 1953. [Note: TI transferred its listing to The NASDAQ Global Select Market from The New York Stock Exchange, effective January 1, 2012.] Since TXN was first publicly traded in 1953, the Board has authorized eight stock splits of various ratios, increasing the number of shares of TXN available to the public and the stock's liquidity. The first stock split occurred in 1963, and the most recent split was a 2-for-1 split in 2000. A hundred shares of TXN purchased during its initial offering price of 5 1/4 per share would today, after adjusting for splits, represent 24,000 shares, reflecting the continued growth of Texas Instruments.
